APPLE, LOVING YOU IS SO HARD!
When the 3G iPhone is introduced this summer, AT&T, the exclusive U.S. iPhone sales partner with Apple, will cut the price by as much as $200, according to a person familiar with the strategy.
AT&T is preparing to subsidize $200 of the cost of a new iPhone, bringing the price down to $199 for customers who sign two-year contracts, the source says. Apple is expected to have two versions of the new iPhone, an 8-gigabyte-memory and a 16-gigabyte-memory model with price tags widely expected to be $399 and $499.
Check this article about how the next iPhone is just months away and will be better AND cheaper. Devil bastards with a siren's song.Posted by A View of the C at 3:29 PM 0 comments

LOVE YOURSELF, YES - BUT BE HEALTHY
I just got home from a bike ride, and it was cold and windy - but pretty outside. I was thinking about an article I read while on the bus earlier. It basically said that although exercising for overweight women is helpful in reducing the chance of heart disease, it's still nowhere near as low as it is for women who are not overweight.

CHECK BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA OFF MY VACATION HOT-SPOT DESTINATIONS
Let's be real here, it would never be on it - but now for more reason than not. Check out the two videos above that show a social experiment in PDA behavior, the one straight couple are making out in the middle of a small restaurant and while people pay attention and are distracted by it, it's not a huge deal and garners mostly good-humored responses. The next part of video #1 shows two men sitting on a bench and making out (sort of) and someone actually calls 911 and a police officer comes! LOL, that's crazy and what's crazier even is that once the officer showed up, got a call that it was cleared by the precinct, he still cautions them that they can't be doing this in public.
The second video shows two women in a similar experiment. Click here for video #2.

MOVIE TRAILER - BLINDNESS, RELEASE 9/19/08
EEK! Everyone's gone blind, or practically everyone in this seemingly top-caliber film. Judging by the studio (Miramax), the cast (Mark Ruffalo, Julianne Moore, Danny Glover, and Gael García Bernal), and the trailer, this one seems quite intriguing to me!

Alright everyone, if you are eligible to receive some money on this new stimulus plan, below is the schedule. WEEKLY TUNE UP: SOUL SISTERS
To view this email as a webpage, click here.
April 27 - May 3, 2008 Sometimes what we argue about is what brings us together.
I read that on a movie poster. Genius. It totally captures the energy of the coming week. Let's face it, we all have mothers, brothers, friends, colleagues who we…how do I say this politely…we can't stand. Just being in the same room with them sends us into an emotional tizzy.
The Ari reveals an amazing secret about this. He says the people we hate the most come from the same soul root as we do. It is written that all of humanity comes from the soul of Adam; we are each correcting a different part of his 'original sin.'
Some of us come from the heel, some from the head, some from the heart. When we share a root soul with someone, it means we have come alive to correct similar attributes. Those of us from the head might be working on being more spiritual and less analytical, those of us from the heart might be working on having more love and compassion, those of us from the heel might be working on addiction and destructive relationships.
The Ari also says there are two levels of relationship we can experience with
people with whom we share a common correction. The first level is hatred. Because there are too manyklippot [energetic blockages] keeping us from seeing the good in the other person, we only see their filth. Although we are of the same spiritual DNA, the klippot runs so deep that it blinds us to the truth.
The second level is deep love. When we get past that which separates us, we see that this person is our soul mate. I know this is true in my own life; many of my closest friends today are people with whom I once did not get along.
This week, focus on the people that came to mind while you were reading this. I would tell you the way to break the klippot is to look for the good in them. But I won't because if you were able to, you already would have.
What I will say, is beg the Light to show you their good side. It's an important distinction. We are in total darkness without the Light. The way to turn it on is to beg for it [especially effective when done while scanning Zohar or the 72 Name below.]
Here's to new friends! All the best,
Yehuda
72 Name of the Week I need to be painfully honest! I acknowledge every person or group of people that stir up feelings of anger, envy, malice, total disgust, or any combination thereof. With the Light of this Name, I have the power to drop the poisonous negative feelings that exist inside me!

RING RING
The wedding ring, that most famous and instantly recognizable symbol of the (hopefully perpetual) joining of a man and a woman as husband and wife in the institution of marriage, has a long, wide spread and mysterious history. Its beginnings lie in the deserts of North Africa, where the ancient Egyptian civilization sprang up along the fertile flood plains of the river Nile. This river was bringer of all fortune and life to the Pharaoh's people and from plants growing on its' banks were the first wedding rings fashioned. Sedges, rushes and reeds, growing alongside the well-known papyrus were twisted and braided into rings for fingers and larger bracelets for wrists.
The ring is of course a circle and this was the symbol of eternity for the Egyptians as well as many other ancient cultures. It had no beginning and no end, like time. It returned to itself, like life; and the shape was worshipped in the form of the Sun and the Moon. The hole in the center of the ring is not just space either; it is important in its own right as the symbol of the gateway, or door; leading to things and events both known and unknown.
It is not difficult therefore, to see how the ring and the gift of a ring began to be associated with love, in the hope that this most worthy of emotions could take on the characteristics of the circle and capture eternity.
They wore it like we do today, on the third finger of the left hand, because of a belief that the vein of that finger directly traveled from the heart. This legend was later taken up by the Greeks, when they conquered Egypt under the generalship of Alexander the Great in 332 B.C. and from them passed onto the Romans, who called this the 'vena amoris', which is Latin for 'the vein of love'.
These early rings usually lasted about a single year before wear and tear took their inevitable toll. Hemp was probably the first choice, but some decided that they wanted a longer lasting material, and opted for leather, bone or ivory to craft their token of love.
Well, in some parts of continental Europe it is and always has been the right. There doesn't seem to be any particular reason that the Christians should have mostly kept this the same as the original. But one thought is; as the man, facing his bride, reaches straight out with his right hand (most people are right handed) he naturally touches her left. As she does his, as now, with more and more men wearing one also, when the rings are exchanged.
This is a modern practice begun mostly during the second world war, a consequence of increased numbers of men being separated from their loved ones and seeking a cheering reminder. This almost happened earlier in history, with the advent of the gemmal ring, alternatively spelled gimmal or gimmel. This was two or three decidedly ornamental links, usually with hands and hearts or knots, fastened together by a hinge, or interlocking like the Olympic rings, and being capable of joining into one. At betrothal, they would be separated, with one given to the woman, one kept by her lover, and if present, the third held by a witness until the wedding day when all would be reunited and henceforth kept by the bride.

Where There's Smoke, There's Fire
To view this email as a webpage, click here.
April 20 - 26, 2008 There are days during the year that allow us to elevate above our short-circuiting world of chaos, to tap into a higher level of circuitry.
These next eight days [April 19 — 27] - the holiday of Pesach - are such days. At this time we receive spiritual support from the universe that assists us in creating a stronger circuitry in the quality of our life.
The meaning of Pesach is that every year on the 15th day of the month of Aries in the lunar calendar, we're supposed to celebrate Pesach by having a special dinner — without bread or anything leavened — while reciting stories from a book that is a remembrance of leaving Egypt, of redemption, and of our enemies some 3,400 years ago.
That's what this holiday's all about.
But, Kabbalistically, there's a powerful opportunity to transform and change our life for one year and forever. It is not about remembering what happened in the past. It's about remembering what's happening now — and knowing how to tap into that energy.
We can remove ourselves from the chains of repetitive patterns of wrong relationships, fears, pains, uncontrollable thoughts that drive us crazy, laziness and lack of energy and enthusiasm. We can remove ourselves from our own personal Egypt.
What does your Egypt look like? Where are your hot buttons? What are your insecurities? How do you doubt yourself? Pay attention.
When someone says something that ticks you off, don't shoot the messenger. Explore why the comment provoked such a strong emotional reaction in the first place. Is there some grain of truth there? Where there's smoke, there's fire.
Ask yourself, "Why did that comment make me feel so mad [sad, defensive, hurt, judged, or attacked]?
These next seven days, expose your weak areas, your vulnerable "I don't want to talk about it' spots. What can you do to make it different?
The gates are open this week. Leave behind all that's ruling you. Put in the extra effort to look within. You just may get the key to opening those gates for the rest of the year. All the best,
Yehuda
72 Name of the Week With this Name I will receive nothing less than the full impact of the forces of Creation. I restore meaning to my life that often feels meaningless, and purpose to a world that often appears aimless. Order returns. Structure emerges. Everything is tidied up.
