VIVA iTUNES!
Royalty rates aren't raising - for now. Had they, the margins would have decreased for Apple as they already pay around 77 cents per song in royalties.
Paying 99 cents for an old Samantha Fox song is ridiculous no? They should have a buffet-style pricing program for old shit, that's what I think.

MADONNA FUCK UP
You know someone got a new hole ripped for them after her chair didn't come up on time, and she had to start singing from below or behind the stage. And then they couldn't get her coat off, she shot them a quick glance of death at about the 1:32 mark. I'm surprised they didn't turn into stone right then and there! Later perhaps, maybe it's a time-delay death stare.

FLASHBACK: KELLY CLARKSON "MAYBE" AND "SOBER"
Two of her best songs, from her last album, you know the one that was deemed "too dark" to be any good. I beg to differ, it's amazing.
Have a look/listen.

BRITNEY REHEARSING FOR VMAs? YAWNNNNNN...
As a compassionate (sometimes) human being, I'm happy to see someone who was on the ledge seemingly doing well again. From a pop-culture lover perspective, I'll be only impressed if she actually sings! Cause we know she can dance and from the looks of this, it's more of the same ol' Brit Brit. Better than breakdown-Brit, no better than lipsynch Brit.

SOLANGE, YOU GO GIRL!
First off, since it was Fox News I'm all about raking them over the coals. In this case, it was a actual mistake on Solange's part in that they asked her the question off-air about if they could mention her brother-in-law (Jay-Z) and his bride (her sister Beyonce'). “I have to say, that was not a very professional introduction before. Please don’t tie me into family and my brother-in-law’s establishment.” The news anchor gets confused and profusely apologizes. Someone from her news team then blurts out, “That wasn’t live, Solange. That wasn’t on [live] TV.”

RedLasso - Madonna's Brother Tells All on GMA - Part 2
Wanna see more from Christopher Ciccone, Madonna's ex-brother? (kidding, kind of)
What I think would be the biggest test of her character would be if she would make up with him, give her OK for the book and recognize it as a brother in pain missing his big sister. Easier said than done I'm sure but surely the biggest growth will come from it.

Listen To This: Kerli
I just picked up the CD (what do you call it now when it's digital?) early this morning and it is very alterna-pop, each song having a strong hook. To me, having an electric guitar pushing the songs (think Evanescence) into catchy as hell choruses is a perfect combo. There are a couple of throwaway tracks but overall, I'm impressed! Standout tracks so far: Love is Dead and Bulletproof. Give it a whirl, and here is some info on Kerli:
In 2006 Kerli signed a contract with Island Def Jam and her debut album, titled Love Is Dead, is set to be released on July 8, 2008. Kerli also has a self-titled EP that includes the songs "Walking on Air," "She's In Parties" and "Love Is Dead." The music video for "Love Is Dead" was released by Universal Music Group on February 29, 2008. The music video for "Walking on Air" premiered on MTV Overdrive on May 20, 2008.
